Oh my goodness I never thought I would see the day that I would write on a blog let alone start my own. As I sit here in my usual coffee shop I can barely contain my excitement. Some of that is for the actual blog, some is for the fact that I overcame my first hurdle of actually creating it, but most of it is for the reason why I am doing this which is the challenge I just took on.
For those of you that don't know I just committed myself to Justice in Motion which is a 1/2 marathon training group that not only gets us ready for the Silverstands 1/2 marathon on November 14th but also has a goal of raising money and awareness for Jeans for Justice. I am volunteering my time over the next 16 weeks to raise awareness for such a worthy cause. Jeans 4 Justice is a unique non-profit organization dedicated to ending sexual violence through creative awareness campaigns and cutting-edge education programs.
I have much more to share but I promised myself I would keep it simple for this first post. I can't give away all my good material right away! I thank you for reading and I am really excited to document this journey for myself, for others, and for this cause.
